I am a postdoctoral researcher associate at the Department of Cognitive, Linguistic & Psychological Sciences at Brown University. My research is focused on understanding cognitive and motivational processes that enable flexible goal-directed behavior. For example, I study how learning and motivation guide goal engagement, as well as the cognitive processes that allow for flexible changes of goal states. I approach these questions by developing mathematical models of cognitive and motivational processes, which I test using behavioral experiments, model-based neuroimaging, and computational modeling. I also leverage my basic science insights to understand changes in cognition and goal-directed behavior in psychopathology.
